Cats Have A Home At Purrfect Pals For As Long As They Need Us
Young and old alike, all kittens and cats deserve a second chance. Purrfect Pals Cat Sanctuary & Adoption Centers serves the Puget Sound region from their shelter on 5.5 acres in Arlington, with cage-free living for up to 150 cats on site.
At Purrfect Pals, our highest priority is taking in the cats and kittens who need us most… those who other shelters and rescue groups might not have the resources to help. This includes senior cats (though we prefer to call them “vintage”), cats with major medical needs, cats with chronic illnesses (including FIV and Feline Leukemia) and those with behavioral challenges. Most of our cats are transferred to us from regional animal shelters.
Our cat adoption and rehabilitation programs help us place homeless cats, including those with special needs, in loving homes. We believe that every cat is adoptable; some just need more time than others to find the right match.
Our ultimate goal is to place them with adopters or long term foster families, but these cats have a loving home in our Arlington sanctuary for as long as they need us. The Purrfect Pals Sanctuary is currently home to 140+ of these special cats. Any cat adopted from Purrfect Pals can be returned if their person can no longer care for them.
Our 60 foster caregivers are ready to accept moms with litters and orphan kittens needing bottle feeding as kitten season hits this month. There are also 49 cats with chronic medical issues in long term foster care that our veterinary team sees regularly for checkups, vaccines and any issues that may arise.
The majority of calls are from people seeking resources for their cats, in addition to those who need to surrender their cats. A community pet food bank is available to low income families needing assistance to feed their cats or dogs. Low income cat owners can also apply for Spay/Neuter Vouchers for free surgeries at participating clinics. We also provide referrals to other pet services.
