Helping Individuals living with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Live The Lives They Choose
We offer people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) the chance to live the lives they choose and be included in our communities. Through housing support, case management, support coordination, recreation and family services, people with IDD enjoy a range of activities that help them learn new skills and make new friends.
Currently, there are more than 9,000 people living in Atlantic County with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In addition to the support received from family and friends, these individuals need someone who believes in their skills and abilities; someone they can rely on; someone who encourages and supports their dreams.
We believe our community is stronger when people with intellectual and developmental disabilities work hand in hand with their neighbors. The Arc of Atlantic County has been advocating this mission since 1961. Our commitment is stronger than ever. We want the people we serve to live the lives they choose. We are determined to advance our goals despite the challenges that exist and the ever-changing road ahead.
