A bin with a Snoopy blanket, toy, empty bowl and plastic food dish with food, were left at the shelter's front door. But where was the dog? Huddled across the street against a metal garage door sat Jeremy, an 11-week old Plott hound puppy. Barely able to walk and vomiting, he tested positive for Parvovirus - a disease found most often in unvaccinated puppies that can be fatal. Rushed to our small quarantine room at the shelter, Jeremy began immediate treatment under the guidance of our Veterinary Clinic. The Norfolk SPCA stands ready to save sick and homeless animals, like Jeremy. Our ability to provide immediate medical care and ongoing support is only made possible thanks to the support of animal welfare champions like you.
