Individual in "Airlink" branded safety jacket receives critical aid cargo to respond to Maui wildfire emergency

In 2023, Airlink played a vital role in delivering aid to Maui following the devastating wildfires, which claimed over 100 lives and displaced hundreds of families. The fires, intensified by Hurricane Dora’s winds, crippled Lahaina and left the island facing severe challenges, including injuries, loss of shelter, power outages, and disrupted communications.

Airlink swiftly activated its airline and NGO partners to deploy first responders and essential aid. One of the first teams, the Information Technology Disaster Resource Center, was sent to restore communications, while Airlink coordinated the transport of 30 pallets of critical supplies, overcoming logistical hurdles posed by damaged infrastructure. Drawing from past wildfire response experience, Airlink ensured timely aid delivery and continued support through debris removal and rebuilding efforts.

Our response in Maui highlights Airlink’s capacity to mobilize quickly. Through partnerships with over 50 airlines and 200+ NGOs, we have transported 12,500 responders and over 16.5 million pounds of cargo globally. When disasters strike, timing is everything. Your support helps us act swiftly, providing the critical flights and cargo shipments that save lives. Every donation fuels our ability to help communities devastated by disasters to rebuild and recover.
