The video shows a comparisons of what a chef could do with excess food that is still safe to eat. On the right side of the screen, the chef throws the food into a trash can. The trash gets picked up by a garbage truck and dumped into a landfill.
The left side of the screen shows the chef donating the excess food to Aloha Harvest. Instead of going into the trash, the food gets placed into an Aloha Harvest to-go container. An Aloha Harvest driver arrives on-site to pick up the donated food in a large refrigerated truck and drops it off at a recipient agency. The agency uses the excess food to prepare a nice meal for a mother and daughter. The right side of the screen shows how Aloha Harvest works to rescue and redistribute quality food to help feed Hawaii’s hungry.
There is one line spoken at the end of the video that says “Waste less, feed more. Visit alohaharvest.org”. Then a screen appears with the Aloha Harvest logo and their CFC ID #83771.
