When we first met Vivian, she was finishing high school and wanting to go to college. Art for Humanity (AFH) helped pay her tuition and buy books. Upon graduation, she wanted to do something to help children and improve the educational system of Honduras. Honduras is the second poorest country in the western hemisphere in large part because it has the worst education system in Latin America. So, with Vivian, AFH began the Honduran Independence Bilingual School (HIBS). That was in 2006. We began with only 23 students but have grown to over 200 and with your help we will grow to 450. Now HIBS is the premier school in the region providing a positive influence on the other schools in the area. With your help AFH can provide scholarships and positively impact the lives of many more children and their families.

Art For Humanity
The opening slide is a blond woman speaking. Her first words are:
There are more than 1 million charities in the United States.
Here is the remaining script:
While many strive to help the poor
Few strive to help the poor to help themselves.
Art for Humanity is one of those few.
What further separates Art for Humanity from the rest
is that it is an all volunteer charity.
Not only are ordinary citizens dedicating their time
to help those in need to become self-sufficient,
they are also using their own equipment and vehicles to do so.
That means Art for Humanity does not need to budget
for salaries, trucks or even rent.
All donations go directly
to help those in need.
Art for Humanity is a part of the Combined Federal Campaign
and has also been awarded the Seal of Excellence
Having met the highest standards of public
accountability, program effectiveness and cost effectiveness.
With Art for Humanity
you can be sure that all of your donation
Last slide: same blond woman saying: will go to helping the poor to help themselves.
