Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Florida creates and supports one-to-one mentoring relationships from Pensacola to Panama City. We would like to shine a spotlight one of our incredible Big Brothers, who works for the U.S. Navy Blue Angels. Big Brother Jose and Little Brother Gabriel have been matched since February 2024. For the first few months, they talked over FaceTime because Jose was working in California with the team. But once he returned to Pensacola, the two went to the premiere of "The Blue Angels" movie at the National Naval Aviation Museum aboard NAS Pensacola, where Gabriel got to meet one of the producers! What an amazing experience!

Our Military Mentors are making a BIG Impact!
Transcript

We are incredibly grateful for our Military Big Brothers and Big Sisters, who play a vital role in our mission to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships across Northwest Florida. With around 50 military mentors, these dedicated individuals bring a unique set of skills and values to their relationships with their Littles. Through their service, they impart invaluable lessons of respect, bravery, and discipline, alongside military-related skills that inspire and empower the children they mentor. Their commitment and selflessness make them an irreplaceable part of our community, and we are honored to have them as an essential part of our Big Brothers Big Sisters family.
