Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas’ Rapid Rehousing program has had a profound impact on the lives of unhoused individuals and families. The program has provided a lifeline, helping them regain stability and rebuild their lives.
Our approach aims to provide short-term rental assistance and long-term case management to move those who are experiencing homelessness to permanent housing quickly. We also work closely with local agency partners–and landlords–to ensure that our clients have access to safe, affordable housing options.
“Because of this program, my life has completely changed. I remember when we first got the keys to our new apartment, feeling immense awe for simply having a roof over our heads. I have such gratitude now for this whole program that I can’t even put into words,” noted a client.
The program’s comprehensive support services are instrumental in helping our clients overcome the barriers that led to their homelessness in the first place, breaking the cycle of poverty and promoting economic self-sufficiency.
“The program not only provided my family with stable housing, it also helped me gain employment, readily access food and experience human connection with my case manager whom I spoke with weekly,” the client added.
