Chambliss Center for Children
Today’s world is looking a little different, but Chambliss Center for Children continues doing what it has done since 1872, caring for the community’s most vulnerable youth 24-hours-a-day, 365-days-a-year.
Serving children from 6 weeks to 12 years of age, the Extended Child Care and Early Childhood Education Program provides quality care and early education throughout the community, primarily to low-income, at-risk children, most of whom live in single-parent households.
The agency’s Residential Program cares for children who have been removed from their homes by the State due to abuse, abandonment, or neglect, placing them with well-trained, loving foster families in the community.
Our Transitional Living program assists teens aging out of the foster care system by providing housing, support and training in basic life skills.
Chambliss Center for Children is proud to care for more than 750 children a day throughout the community.
