Foundation of the Flora of Virginia Project

The Flora of Virginia Project provides the most complete, up-to-date Virginia flora botanical data, critical to ecological conservation and education. Federal land managers in Shenandoah National Parks and George Washington and Jefferson National Forests rely on the Flora and the Flora App to protect native flora for the benefit of all of the Commonwealth’s citizens and visitors. Virginia educators introduce important conservation concepts and botanical knowledge to students at all levels. Private landowners leverage the Flora to identify plants and target for protection or mitigation.
