In 2022, Hope House celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Guardian Program. This program was created to provide domestic violence survivors a safe place for visitation and exchanges of custody. Our Guardian Program allows the custodial parent to drop of their children without ever seeing the non-custodial parent, so the possibility for abuse during these exchanges is eliminated. Since opening in 2002, we have been able to provide hundreds of families safer alternatives when exchanging custody or during visitations. This is one of the many programs Hope House provides to survivors. Others include emergency shelter, case management, legal and court advocacy, and therapy.
