Established in 2007, The Independence Fund is committed to empowering our nation’s
catastrophically wounded, injured, or ill Veterans, helping them to overcome the physical, mental, and
emotional wounds sustained in service. We are dedicated to improving the lives of both Veterans and
their families. Through a range of programs including Mobility, Caregiver Support, Advocacy,
Casework, Operation RESILIENCE, Independence@Home, and Family initiatives, The Independence
Fund strives to bridge the gap and offer comprehensive support.

When dealing with any kind of hardship. When you look at how you're going to get through it, it can be incredibly overwhelming. The Independence Fund exists to serve a very specific population. We exist to serve those who have suffered a serious loss of mobility, serious wound, illness or injury because of their military service. And we want to provide that independence back.

The Independence Fund was started so organically, with a true desire to serve our nation’s bravest population and make sure that we are the bridge from where they’ve been to where they’re going, that we fulfill those unmet needs. And it’s something that we strive to make sure every single day that we are staying true to our original mission.
We are a clearinghouse. We are a disaster relief organization, and we are family to our nation's wounded Veterans because we believe in meeting that Veteran and their family wherever they are.
