Operation: Job Ready Veterans (OJRV) exists to bridge the transitional gap military members, veterans, and military families experience when their active-duty service comes to an end, and they must transition to civilian employment. We understand that while an individual takes an oath to serve, his or her family is impacted and sacrifices right alongside their military-connected loved one. This focus on the entire military family is unique even in the veteran employment space.
OJRV meets veterans, military members, and family members at their point of need, regardless of branch of service or era. Whether you need traditional employment transition services, specialized assistance, hardship help to position you for employment readiness, or even mentoring, OJRV is there.
Take Scott, for example. Like many of our clients, Scott’s biggest career transitional need was converting his military job skills into a suitable civilian career. As Scott says, “Because of OJRV, I’m alive. I lost my job, and the market wasn’t booming with opportunities. OJRV provided me with hardship help, direction on where to go and whom to go to, disability [resource] help, resume assistance, contacts to get assistance, and job leads.”
OJRV client Chanika says, “From the beginning, OJRV was super helpful and kind. We discussed my needs, wants, and where they could help. I think it took [OJRV] about two to three weeks to find me the right job. [They] treated me with so much respect that I felt we were more like friends. [OJRV] was there and cheered me on when I was worried about the [job] interview.”
We understand our military community because we’ve been there ourselves. At OJRV, we know how to translate military skills into skills civilian employers understand. We know, as our client Kaci says, how to translate military members’ “worth and value to an organization,” bringing confidence and peace to a stressful, overwhelming process.
Our vision is to assist through sustainable programs and job readiness resources, to positively impact one person, one business, and one community at a time. Everyone who has worn the uniform has earned our support and assistance. Wherever you are in your employment journey, OJRV stands ready to help you make your civilian career dreams a reality.
