Piggins and Banks

Piggins and Banks is a pig and animal sanctuary located in Cross Junction, Virginia.

We are a 501c3 nonprofit with the mission of providing a forever home to abused and mistreated pigs along with a variety of other animals.

Pigs are very misunderstood. Many see them as a commodity raised only for food.

Yet they are one of the most intelligent animals in the world, much smarter than cats or dogs. They experience real emotions, such as joy, depression, and even cry tears when sad.

At Piggins and Banks we provide a haven to pigs who have been abused, mistreated, or are just no longer wanted.

Here they have a forever home spending days among their own kind in the peaceful setting of the Virginia mountains.

Through guided tours, educational experiences, and volunteer opportunities, we help the community learn why pigs should be seen as friends, not food.
