Transcript

The first part of the video shows Assistance League of El Paso's Chapter House, the heart of the organization. This is where the Thrift Store, meeting rooms, offices, kitchen, storage for resale items and clothing are housed. The building also houses Operation School Bell, including the area where children are fitted for their school clothes. Rick Cabrera, a member of our Advisory Council, narrates: "Welcome to the Chapter House, the headquarters of Assistance League of El Paso. Operation School Bell is Assistance League's primary community service program, providing new wardrobes for underprivileged children." As this is being said, captions appear saying, "Welcome to the Chapter House, the headquarters of Assistance League® of El Paso. Operation School Bell is Assistance League’s primary community service program, providing new school wardrobes for under privileged children for fifty-two years." The second part of this video shows the children being dropped off and fitted for their clothing by trained volunteers. Text appears on-screen saying, "At least 3,000 El Paso elementary public school children per year are fitted with 3 sets of new clothes and hygiene supplies." At one point a volunteer can be heard telling a child, "Good. Okay, I'm going to get you a blue shirt." A matching caption appears on-screen at that time. Afterward, some of the children happily model their new clothing. Text appears saying "The gift of clothing and supplies," which leads into the next scene showing students entering a school bus. The on-screen text says, "sends them to school with confidence." The children are saying goodbye at the end of the video as they head into a school bus.
