WHAS Crusade for Children

The WHAS Crusade for Children funds hundreds of schools, hospitals and agencies across Kentucky and Southern Indiana each year, directly impacting children with physical, medical, mental and emotional needs. For many years, Crusade funding has allowed for children in wheelchairs to attend a specialized camp in Southern Kentucky at the Center for Courageous Kids. At this camp, children are able to enjoy swimming, canoeing, mini golf, bowling and many more activities that are typically unattainable in their day-to-day lives. For a weekend, these children are able to just be children, and their families are able to enjoy watching their children have fun. In 2024, the WHAS Crusade for Children awarded more than $5.7 million in grants to 231 recipients.
