The Women's Breast & Heart Initiative is a community-based outreach organization dedicated to educating women, who are low-income indviduals, about the importance of breast and heart health while providing them with the resources to beat breast cancer and heart disease. Our focus is disease prevention and health promotion to impact present and future generations. Our intervention is a platform for collaboration, civic engagement and social change. We believe that if you change the life of a woman, you change the life of her family and if you change the life of a family, you can change the lives in the community and empower the broader community to live healthier, happier and more productive lives

What is wonderful about this organization, The Women's Breast & Heart Initiative, is that it was started by a survivor. So, it's a person who walked in the footsteps of so many women who have faced breast cancer, and she knows what the mission and the vision is, and she wil go as far as she nedds to to be able to fulfill it. We live in a community where there is much need. There is low inclome, under-resourced, and underserved neighborhoods. So services like this, especially preventative services, early detection services, are extremely needed. We as a community benefit as a whole when we share in being able to provide access to health care and preventative health care to women and their families. So why would you not want to get involved or support or get behind an organization that offers that and provides life-saving information , screens, and health care?
