1000 Mothers to Prevent Violence provides hope, help and healing to parents and children impacted by gun violence. Grief related trauma, domestic violence, and school shootings tend to interfere with a child's ability to perform academically. Parents and teachers also suffer from PTSD. James, twelve years old, lost both grandparents to violence. His mother suffers from PTSD. Following a six week grief camp - thanks to the CFC - James is ore ready for the seventh grade. His mother also recently stopped self medicating and recently found a new job. With the help of just $5 a week, we can continue to provide support for James and his mother, and mothers like myself.
