American Conservation Experience is a national non-profit organization that provides rewarding conservation service opportunities for young adults and emerging professionals of all backgrounds to explore and improve public lands while gaining practical professional experience.
ACE members benefit from working alongside trained and passionate staff as well as representatives from agencies such as the National Park Service, US Forest Service and other conservation groups.
During their time with ACE, participants further cultivate their leadership skills and expand their networking connections while completing conservation service and cultural preservation projects across the US and several territories.
As our natural landscapes face unprecedented challenges, the role of conservationists has never been more critical. Our volunteers assist with projects in national, state and local parks, wildlife refuges, and additional public spaces.
Examples of ways we make an impact:
- Trail building and maintenance
- Mitigating invasive species
- Reducing wildfire forest fuels
- Wildlife habitat protection
- Wildlife monitoring
- Serving at park visitor centers
- Cultural resource preservation
- And much more
ACE is building the next generation of conservation stewards who make a significant impact on our public lands and local communities.
