Getting Bibles into prisons is a high priority of Bible Givers International (BGI). We send Bibles directly to prisoners when they write to request one, and we also send cases of Bibles to chaplains who are able to distribute them into the county jails and federal prisons. Each Bible has a sticker in it that lets them know it is from BGI (also known as International Bible Givers). The Bibles are often able to move with the inmates as they switch prisons, and then other prisoners see the sticker and hear about how it was sent to them. We know when this happens when we get many more requests from a new location. Here are two requests we received in October:I am writing to request a large print Recovery Bible be sent to me, please. That’s where International Bible Givers comes in. International Bible Givers is an all volunteer organization, consisting of more than 400 volunteers from more than 50 churches.
