Patrice’s story is a powerful testament to the transformative impact of Combat Female Veterans Families United (CFVF United) programs. After serving multiple deployments in the military, Patrice returned home with physical injuries and deep emotional scars. She struggled to adjust to civilian life, haunted by traumatic experiences and burdened with financial difficulties.

CFVF United stepped in to provide Patrice with the necessary support she needed to rebuild her life. Through our Economic Assistance Program, we helped her secure stable housing and ensured that her basic needs were met, including groceries and utilities. This alleviated the financial strain she was facing, allowing Patrice to focus on her healing and recovery.

Recognizing the importance of emotional support, CFVF United connected Patrice with our Shero Peer Support Group. There, she found solace and understanding among other combat female veterans who had experienced similar challenges. Through sharing her story and listening to others, Patrice gained a renewed sense of camaraderie and emotional support, ultimately helping her navigate her journey towards restoration.

CFVF United also provided Patrice with mentorship and guidance through our Combat Female Deployment Project. Whether it was offering advice on transitioning back to civilian life or connecting her with career opportunities, CFVF United was there every step of the way to ensure Patrice's successful reintegration into society.
With the collective efforts of CFVF United's programs and dedicated team members, Patrice was able to heal, regain her confidence, and rebuild her life. Today, she is a shining example of resilience and perseverance, using her experience to inspire and support other combat female veterans who may be facing similar challenges.

Patrice’s success story serves as a testament to CFVF United's mission and the positive impact we can have on the lives of combat female veterans. Through our various programs, we strive to empower and uplift those who have sacrificed so much for our country.

It means the world because it helps us out so much. My husband just had his disability taken away. He's a type two diabetic. He's missing a leg, missing toes, all his toes. On the other foot, the insulin we have to pay for just one of the medications is a week.

That's not to mention the other medications that he has to take for being a diabetic. And it just seems like no matter how hard we try, we can't win for losing. And now we're fighting to get they're threatening to take my disability away. Not the VA one, but my Social Security, which is SSI right now till next year, and they're threatening to take it away from me.

And I don't know which way we're going to go because we need the house to be able to live and not end up underneath a bridge or homeless or without the help of the VA. And these girls have been wonderful.
