Help the Helpless

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is I.MariaSelvam, and I am the headmaster of St. Mary's School in India. We are a school for the disabled and deaf-mute students, from preschool through 12th grade. We rely entirely on funds from the generous donors of Help the Helpless. These funds allow our students to attend St. Mary's for free, and also to receive free room and board during the school year. I would like to share the success story of one of our 2006 alumni from the Handicapped school. His name is Mr. Balamurugan. After his schooling, he was accepted into a music college and completed a Master of Philosophy in Music. Presently he is working on a Doctorate in Music while teaching music and violin. He came back and spoke to the students of St. Mary's, telling them “Your handicap is only a physical defect, but our merciful Lord Jesus has given innate talent to everyone. So don’t discourage yourself and achieve as much as you can!” He is an inspiration to all the students here at St. Mary’s School. It is from your generosity that we can share such a story as this.
