For the last 50 years, The Washington Area Bicyclist Association has been working to make your bike ride better, fighting for a just and sustainable region where biking, walking and transit are the best ways to get around.

Your donation helps our team of organizers build deep grassroots support for more great places to ride—expanding our region's network of protected bike lanes and trails, and promoting laws and policies that make biking safer and more accessible for everyone.

But it's not just about laws and infrastructure. Every year WABA teaches hundreds of adults and kids how to ride bikes, and how to ride safely and comfortably in the city. We have teams leading community rides, taking care of bike trails, making sure riders have lights and bike maps, and we put on loads of fun events all year long.
