The CFC is one of the largest and most successful annual workplace campaigns, raising millions of dollars each year for organizations like yours. As the only authorized charitable solicitation in the entire Federal workforce, the CFC offers access to a critical source of unrestricted funds and an inexpensive way to attract new donors from the Federal community.
The CFC is the annual opportunity for members of the Federal community to support charities they care about through monetary and volunteer contributions. It is an employee-focused, cost-efficient, federally-regulated program aimed at raising the greatest amount possible for participating charities. Charities apply each year to be included in the Charity List.
Federal employees have the opportunity to give to any participating CFC charity, not just the local charities in their CFC zone. This option to support thousands of organizations allows donors to give to causes like finding cures for diseases, supporting military families, promoting equality for all, youth development, and more, regardless of geographic location.
How the CFC Works for charities
1. Apply to participate.
Be a part of the official workplace giving campaign for the Federal community and gain access to millions of potential donors around the world through one online application. CFC donations provide a critical source of unrestricted funding throughout the year. (All approved organizations must meet the charity standards and pay the required fee.)
2. Engage the Federal community.
Attend campaign events, promote your CFC number with your existing donor base, and share success stories and videos to inspire generosity. Make sure to thank donors and coordinate with those who pledged volunteer hours.
3. Change the world.
Put the generosity of the Federal community to work – provide help and hope to those in the communities you serve.
