Hello, my name is Chaunta. I am a volunteer for Dogworks. Thank you for visiting us. We are a proud Toledo Ohio-based dog rescue that has been saving dogs for approximately 20 years. When you rescue a dog you never know what kind of problems they may have until you have them in a foster home for about a week.
Most of them are fine, but others come to us with some very serious, painful, and life-threatening problems. We charge a modest fee for our dog adoptions which normally covers our cost of feeding, medications, spaying and neutering, and bringing them up-to-date on their vaccinations. Some of the dogs that come to us have more expensive medical costs. We believe that a true rescue does not euthanize an animal because they have expensive healthcare needs.
