What is the charitable cause you are most passionate about and why?

Wild animal sanctuary (https://www.wildanimalsanctuary.org). I have always felt strongly about helping those that are unable to help themselves, the things that humans have done to animals is absurd. The wild animal sanctuary in Keansburg Colorado is doing an amazing job of taking animals that should not be in captivity and giving them their lives back. Due to human interference these animals are not fit to be returned to the wild. The sanctuary allows them to live out their lives in massive enclosures with other animals from similar situations. They have an incredible elevated platform to view the animals from while not being a threat to the animals. The stroies will pull at yoour heartstrings but seeing the animals playing and living their best life makes this cause one that I will forever be behind.

Why do you give through the CFC?

The CFC makes it easy to give. I can set it up and not have to think about it for the rest of the year.

How do contributions through the CFC help your cause?

Taking care of large animals and providing them the space they need is an expensive endeavor. My contributions make sure that the animals continue to have a place to call home and that the sanctuary can continue to step in and care for animals .

What is the charitable cause you are most passionate about and why?

For the last 10+ years, I have supported House with a Heart Senior Pet Sanctuary in Gaithersburg, MD. Their mission is to care for senior and special needs dogs and cats. They typically have in the neighborhood of 20 residents that they care for (I sometimes refer to them as Assisted Living for dogs and cats), but they also have a number of grant programs and they partner with rescue organizations to ensure that senior dogs and cats are able to live out their lives in a loving, caring environment.

Why do you give through the CFC?

It's an easy way to help charities I care about.

How do contributions through the CFC help your cause?

It goes to care for the residents of House with a Heart by providing vet care, food, and supplies that directly benefit the lives of the residents.

What is the charitable cause you are most passionate about and why?

Animals, especially cats. We have always had cats, and several had had health concerns. We always give to causes that support no-kill shelters and disabled cats.

Why do you give through the CFC?

It's easy, and I've done it since I first joined the Army in 2002 and have kept doing so through my Civilian career.

How do contributions through the CFC help your cause?

They help support local no-kill animal shelters as well as blind and FHIV positive cats that may not otherwise have support.

What is the charitable cause you are most passionate about and why?

Organizations that support the well-being of our companion animals. Specifically, groups that work to reduce the number of homeless/unwanted pets, through spay and neuter programs, rescuing and rehoming, conducting education and outreach on responsible pet ownership, and providing low or no cost veterinary services. This type of work is even more critical in my adopted home state of Alaska, where veterinary services are lacking in many rural areas. Every dog, cat, and other domesticated animal deserves to be cared for in a loving home; they can't speak for themselves, so it is up to us to advocate on their behalf.

Why do you give through the CFC?

It is a simple way to support the causes I care about throughout the year.

How do contributions through the CFC help your cause?

Consistent contributions throughout the year provide ongoing support so the organizations I care about can focus on their objectives and spend less time trying to secure funding.
