Bobbie had such a sad beginning.

His story started with one of our Animal Law Enforcement officers picking him up as a stray. He was severely matted, covered in dirt, and seemed to be missing part of one of his back legs.

Bobbie was pretty feisty, but we think it had to do with the condition he was in. He was suffering. We knew we couldn't leave him like that any longer, so our veterinary team performed an emergency shave-down.

During the shave, we found the bottom half of Bobbie's "missing" leg. It wasn't gone but hiding within his mound of mats. It wasn't the handsomest hairdo, but Bobbie didn't care. He was relieved and pain-free, and that is all that mattered.

At ten years old, Bobbie had a few other health conditions our team discovered, like dental disease and a heart murmur, but these weren't impacting his overall quality of life. After what he just endured, Bobbie deserved a second chance, and we promised to give him just that.

In just two weeks, Bobbie's journey ended with us but started with someone new as he was adopted by a lovely woman who promised to love and cherish this resilient guy for many years to come!

We're Better Together. Why I Donate.
Transcript

I love this organization and I think all animals deserve a second, third or even a fourth chance at life and it just gives me such joy and peace to know that my support is helping them with that. Anyone who walks through these doors will be welcomed and you will see animals that are happy, that are cared for, that are just waiting to come into someone's home and make that home complete. Animals are never unavailable. They're never off duty. They give love unconditionally. They provide companionship. They relieve stress and I just can't imagine my household without my cats.
