This year, kindergartner Amy returned to Sitar for her favorite class: Art Soup! and shared: “I feel happy when I come to Sitar. Sometimes I’m excited! My favorite teacher is really nice and cool.” In this playful early childhood arts class, she creates and performs stories with her classmates, who come to Sitar from all corners of DC. Sitar’s model builds a diverse and inclusive community, where 80% of students come from a household with low-income and tuition is based on a sliding-fee scale.
Each child who comes to Sitar is welcomed with love, celebrated for their many gifts, and supported in their social-emotional development and artistic journey. And it is generous individuals like you who make it all possible.
